* Tagg informatique pursues its migration to colour with the purchase of an iPrint digital printer for Transpromo and Direct Marketing applications
Tagg Informatique – one of France’s Top 10 printing groups for direct marketing and transpromo – has just purchased a continuous feed inkjet printer from IMPIKA’s iPrint range. Designed to produce personalized colour print runs in high volumes, these printers use advanced technology to offer a unique solution. By doing away with the need for pre-printing, this « all-in-one » process is transforming the industry.«We are very grateful for Tagg Informatique’s faith in our company and our iPrint range. Quality, speed and productivity are already recognized as the hallmarks of digital printing. In addition, iPrint’s unique flexibility enables users to adjust quality levels and speeds to the job in hand. The range can also integrate an MICR function to print documents containing secure data,» says Paul Morgavi, IMPIKA’s CEO.
The chosen model is an iPrint TED in four-colour configuration, which offers personalized print runs in duplex format at 127m/min. It can produce up to 450 million A4 pages/year to meet the needs of Transpromo and Direct Marketing applications where quality and productivity are paramount.
Those capabilities are combined with an onboard AFP/IPDS controller, the most high-performance model on the market. Its calculating power can process data flows at very high speeds for « full variable » operations, in which each page contains different texts and colour images.
« When we installed the first colour printer in our print shop in 2000, we really entered the 21st century. More new purchases followed. Today, IMPIKA’s waterbased inkjet iPrint represents our 4th generation colour printer. Its advanced design, offering high quality results at very high speeds, will double our production capacity » emphasizes Hervé Lesseur, CEO of Tagg Informatique.
This new facility confirms the current trend to replace black and white and migrate to colour. The shift is accompanied by a demand for greater flexibility, against a backdrop of heightened environmental awareness.
