Cartridge Collection Service – A New Environmental Green Initiative from Image2output Ltd

Image2output Ltd have launched a new environmental green initiative with their inkjet Cartridge Collection Service for recycling purposes The free service is available to Epson wide format inkjet users operating within the UK.
The procedure is straightforward, on request, Image2output supply a suitable box for the disposal of the Epson large format cartridges with labelling designed to encourage “green thinking”.
When the box is full Image2output collect them and replace it with a new empty box at no charge.
These cartridges are a particularly un-green issue as they comprise a small amount of electronics as well as ink and plastic so can generally only be consigned to landfill disposal.
This initiative follows on from Image2out’s now well established efforts with longer inkjet rolls ( www.image2output.com/prodlist.aspx?cat=79 45m & 60m) and custom sized widths (e.g. a4 / a5) which have already reduced waste, packaging and costs, (by as much as 50% for plastic end caps) Through its website www.image2output.com welcome further ideas to improve the joint green credentials of suppliers and users by reducing industrial waste volume and costs further.
