Ricoh Europe brings easy-to-use colour management to print service providers through new partnership

The solution offers print service providers automated colour processing capabilities and objective colour measurement to ensure consistent and accurate colour matching. Its easy-to-use Wizard interface automates the colour workflow, helping to take the mystery out of colour management and allowing operators to set up a print-run quickly and efficiently.
“Colour management continues to present challenges for many printers, especially those working in hybrid offset/digital environments,” says Simon Tapley, Workflow Solutions Manager, Ricoh Europe Production Printing Business Group. “Colour must be consistent from run to run, within the run on each and every press and match colours from press to press. It is our goal to make this process as simple and reliable as possible. By offering professional and intelligent colour management capabilities at operator level we can significantly reduce the training and know-how required when compared to other more complex products available in the market. This was a key factor in assessing potential partners in the colour management market.”
By working directly with Ricoh to resolve colour management challenges, professional printing companies are able to focus on adding customer value and generating more profitable digital sales. In its customer-focused approach to serving print service providers, Ricoh draws on its network of experts who will identify reliable and profitable solutions and ensure that they deliver expected results.
ColourServer and the accomplished Ricoh Pro C900 make a powerful combination, enabling print service providers to deliver a faithful, consistent colour reproduction service to their clients. The solution is available immediately as a turnkey hardware/software solution, or a software-only package. It will also be available for demonstration at the Ricoh Product Innovation Centre, UK and in Ricoh demonstration sites across Europe.
”Increasingly, production printers around the world are turning to Ricoh to help them prioritise options, recommend winning solutions and work to implement and support them over the lifetime of the relationship,” says Tapley. “Our partnership with Ready4Print is an important element of our continued expansion of this strategy, ensuring that the best possible colour consistency is delivered with each and every print run.”
