Aluminium foil impacts on every area of our lives from the kitchen to the retail shelf and on to technical industrial applications, which is why the Alufoil Trophy 2011 has been designed to reward excellence in aluminium foil and flexible packaging within Europe.
* Winning entries will be on display at interpack 2011 in Dusseldorf.
Awarded for innovation in consumer convenience, technical development and sustainable solutions across packaging applications and industrial solutions, the Alufoil Trophy 2011 features five categories addressing the crucial challenges for alufoil manufacture and usage:
- Marketing + Design:
Entrants should deliver real improvements to graphic and structural packaging design, as well as industrial design solutions. - Consumer Convenience:
Answering calls for improved technical performance that provides real benefits to the consumer. - Resource Efficiency:
Developments demonstrating sustainable and economically viable environmental performance - Product preservation:
Advances in packaging and other applications that help to deliver products with perfectly preserved qualities and guaranteed function and consumer benefits (nutrition, taste, health…). - Technical Innovation:
Innovative concepts that boost performance and provide benefits for the brand owner, retailer, consumer and industrial user.
The closing date for entries is 29th October 2010.
EAFA invites entries from packaging designers, brand owners, foil rollers, foil converters, foil container manufacturers, household foil manufacturers, retailers, and industrial solution providers; including combined entries from any of these parties. Interested consumers and consumer associations may also enter.
