New Color-Logic Silver Ink Revolutionizes Metallic Printing
Tags: Color-Logic Best Offset Silver
Color-Logic, developer of the popular Process Metallic Color System™, has simplified metallic printing with the introduction of its Color-Logic BEST Silver Ink. Announcing the new ink, Color-Logic Director of Sales and Marketing Mark Geeves said: “Unlike other metallic inks in the marketplace, Color-Logic BEST Silver Ink has unique properties that revolutionize metallic printing.
With a maximum ink density of only 0.35—compared with 1.0 for standard silver inks—Color-Logic BEST Silver Ink is much easier than conventional metallic inks to control on offset presses, and is far less inclined to pile in the ink fountain. Even more important, Color-Logic BEST Silver Ink does not dull down under either aqueous or ultraviolet coatings, or lamination films. Unlike conventional metallic inks, the Color-Logic ink gets brighter when coated.”
Color-Logic BEST Silver Ink is specifically formulated to be compatible with conventional process inks. It may be used with the Color-Logic Process Metallic Color System or with conventional designs.
Color-Logic™ develops color communication systems and software tool sets for a variety of special effect printing applications. Color-Logic provides brand owners, product managers, corporations, and their advertising agencies the ability to differentiate themselves and their clients with a simple print production process that yields dramatic results. Color-Logic special effects utilize the existing workflows of printers and designers, yielding dynamic results without the use of special equipment. Color-Logic supports the value of print and works with designers and printers to enhance their printed media. For more information, visit www.color-logic.com or call 513-258-0047.

J.T David,
The Color-Logic BEST offset silver is only available for conventional offset printing. We do however have a UV flexo silver ink. Many of our clients find our Starter Kits an ideal way to test our system on their machines prior to signing up as a licensed and certified Color-Logic printer. See http://www.color-logic.com/products/msstarterkit.html for more information on our starter kits.
Our Process Metallic Color System has been designed for Offset, UV Flexo, Inkjet (Roland, Mimaki, VUTEk, Rastek, Fuji Acuity, Agfa Annipurna etc), Digital Press (HP Indigo, Xeikon, Jetrion etc). In simple terms, if you can print a metallic ink, or a white ink, you can print with our system! With the ability to print with a white ink, our system can create outstanding colors and effects on foil substrates.
A quick overview of our system: We license our system to the printer so that they can produce their own metallic color charts based on their process control, substrates and CMYK inks – every printing process is different, so why do we accept a generic metallic swatch book as a color guide, that was printed under unknown printing conditions? With Color-Logic, we empower the printer to take control of the outcome. The printed color charts show the EXACT reproducible color and effect based on their machines, and as such, they can be used as a Press Proof for the color which takes the hit and miss out of using a polymetallic blended spot color system. Customers could even produce their own tear out chips to provide to clients for attaching to proofs if they so wished.
I hope that helps to answer your questions, however if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at support@color-logic.com
