SGIA recently recognized an impressive 17 specialty imaging companies for completing the 2011 Sustainability Recognition Program.

“Sustainability is more than just going green,” said Marci Kinter, SGIA’s vice president of government and business information. “Sustainability looks at the people, the profit and the planet, and these companies have made changes today that will have an enormous impact on the community in the future.”

To be eligible for the award, companies had to first submit a copy of their sustainability policy. The winners had policies that focused on reducing waste, creating recycling programs and forming a “green committee” in the workplace.
